Last December, Jennie and I took my mum on a trip to England and Brittany. My mum bought me these two instruments for my birthday, as I am interested in learning more about my Breton heritage.

The bombarde is a double-reed instrument (similar in that respect to an oboe) which can play one octave in a given key. It is usually played with the biniou kozh, which is one octave higher, as a pair (note the single drone). These are in the key of G (=sol).
